The proceeds of the race benefit Webark Estates, Inc., a local, non-profit, "no-kill" animal shelter located in Marshall County, Moundsville, WV. Donations are Welcome!

The course is flat and fast and starts and ends at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Bathrooms and parking provided on-site. Music will be provided by Mr. Twister.

Pets are welcome to race with you. Enjoy post-race food, drink, and prizes afterwards.

Entry Fee: First 200 to register guaranteed a shirt

RUN Awards - Prize Packages for Top Overall Male & Female Age Groups --- top 3 male and females in each of the following:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 - 69, and 70+

WALK Awards - Prize Packages for Top Overall Male & Female Age Group --- top male and females in each of the following:
19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Webark is currently home to 16 dogs, 114 cats, 8 rabbits, and 5 rats. The Lacefields will provide lifetime care to any animal accepted into Webark Estates. Webark finds homes for pets in their care, but also has a "matchmaker" service that helps owners find homes for pets they are unable to keep. Webark's feral cat program has prevented thousands of litters of unwanted kittens from being born, and hundreds of cats have been spayed or neutered, and vaccinated, thru the program.

Pets need a good home.

Some Webark fundraisers include the Spaghetti Dinner/Auction the 2nd Friday of October at the Elm Grove Civics, the "Beast of a Sale" Yard Sale (the last Saturday of April in Moundsville WV), Christmas Pet Pictures at Prestige Photography in Wheeling, WV, in November, & the Webark 5K Run & Walk in April, (in 2008 will be the 2nd Saturday in April)which is organized by the Ohio Valley Runners & Walkers Club. We have an additional yard sale in late summer or fall.

We collect items year-round for the Auction and yard sales; please call if you are "spring cleaning" and pickup can be arranged. We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. We can always use more beds, because the cats like them too!
