Learn, practice, or brush up on essential adventure racing skills at the Adventure Racing Academy. Enjoy 3 days and 2 nights at the beautiful Yough Plaza in Ohiopyle, PA.
AAS instructors are experts in their field. Safety is always a priority and maximum individual attention is our goal. We train our clients to standard. Not to time.

- Assessing & Managing Risk in Expedition Racing

Expedition Ropes: Learn . . .
- to select, inspect, wear & care for your mountaineering gear
- to recognize proper rope utilization & safety
- proper rappel technique from hooking up to proper body position
- to perform self arrest, recovery, self rescue
- proper ascending techniques & fluid energy application
- to do a main line exchange while ascending
- proper top rope bouldering/climbing technique
- to select you climbing route, proper commands, hand holds & proper belay technique
- the bowline, figure 8, prussic & square knot

- $550.00 per person, double occupancy, same sex. 3 nights stay
