    Will be held Sunday (1/10/16) inside the old visitor's center at Prickett's Fort. The old visitor's center is located in the lower parking lot. Race day registration opens at 11:30 pm at the Fort on race day.

This 11th Annual event starts at 1:00 PM. Walkers are welcome (4 hour time limit). Race is chip timed. Awards to first 3 male & female finishers. Chili and other refreshments will be at Prickett's Fort following the race. Expected field size is 400.

Double out & back course, 1% grade. Starting on the paved Mcparc Trail running through the Meredith tunnel and back to Prickett's Fort. The first section is blacktop & is about 4.2 miles in length. The second section will be run on the Mon River Trail which is crushed limestone & the race will finish on this trail.

Five water stops on course, one porta potty near the 7 & 11 mile marks.

Bathrooms in the building next to the new visitor's center will still be available. More bathrooms in the lower parking lot.

  • MALE runners

    Overall top 7 ... Age group (# of awards, no duplication)

    First 3 females and first 3 males overall receive awards. No age groups for walkers. Walker must announce their status as they cross the finish line

    Will each receive an award regardless of gender; whether runner or walker.

The park is located two miles from I-79 at Exit 139, north of Fairmont, West Virginia. Follow signs to the park. Parking is limited at the visitor's center. There is adequate parking available in the lower parking lot near the boat ramp.

Pictures by iPlayOutside (not volunteers). The snow date will be 1/12/14 & folks should call my home 304/825-6311, on 1/5/14 if they are unsure as to the race status. If no one answers, assume the race is on!
