2nd Annual Ride Against Rape
(Guided Mountain Bike Ride / Hike)

At noon on Saturday, mountain bikers and hikers gathered to enjoy a beautiful spring day at Cooper's Rock and promote sexual assualt awareness. The event led by The WVU University Health Services Sexual Assault Prevention Department consisted of a guided hike and a guided mountain bike ride. The event was sponsored to conclude Sexual Awareness Week on the WVU campus and provide an event to get people together in support of sexual assault education and have fun at the same time.

Local mountain biker, Gunnar Shogren led the adventurous bikers on a 1.5 hour trip through the wilderness of Cooper's Rock. Approximately 9 bikers and 30 hikers departed from near the overlook area and happily returned to free pizza and sodas afterwards. A raffle was held with prizes, including football tickets and dinners, donated by local businesses.
