Coverage from the 1998 WV Fat Tire Festival
The premier mountain bike fest of West Virginia will be held in Slatyfork. The beginning of the fest is the ever popular Cass Scenic Railroad Ride, riding to Cass, then shuttling up to Bald Knob on a steam locomotive used in 1900 to haul timber from the mountain. Followed by fireroad and singletrack downhill back to the base of the mountain. Daily tech sessions, singletrack clinics, polo, group rides and great food will yield 5 days of fun, friends and great riding.
