The 1999 Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center Appalachian Classic in conjunction with Calhoun County Park and MegaZound Productions will be held June 19th and 20th! We are looking forward to the biggest and best event EVER!
Fun! Fun! Fun! Best describes the events on Saturday. There will be several Artisans displaying their handy work, lots of food, good music and many riders taking the opportunity to pre-ride the course as well as our Kids Point Series race. We will have a bike clinic that will conclude with a course ride and demonstrations on technique at various parts of the course.
Following the Bike Clinic we will again have our famous Pond
Jump. Entrants will exhibit many forms for going off the 48" high
ramp into the water. Some will even use their personal bikes instead
of the 'specially prepared' Huffy! The Long
distance jump last year went to WVOutside's Lew McGrath for a
jump in excess of 40 feet! Plans are in the works for other
bike events also.
Sunday we will have the largest 'Class' Selection (27) for any
MTB race including including "All" WVMBA point series
'Classes'.
