Racing fun with style

Now in its 3rd year, the annual Cardboard Box Derby at Wisp of Deep Creek Lake Resort keeps attracting a bigger and bigger crowd. Along with more entrants and a bigger party, the creativity of design continues to get more impressive. From tractors, race cars, and jet planes, to "old" women in shoes and log homes, the variety of size and design made for quite a show. It all wraps up with the big finale, sending the boxes and their builders down the Bear Claw Tubing Park hill in a timed competition where the donations went to benefit the Lions Club Blind Skiers and other local Lions Programs.
