Ready for race time
One couldn't have asked for better weather, low humidity and temperature in the mid 70's, to enjoy the 2nd Annual Support the Troops 5k Run/2mile Walk, at the Preston County Country Club. The event was hosted by the 475th Quartermaster Company,(formally the 646th Quartermaster Company), and the 646th Family Readiness Group.

Josh Feather of Terra Alta, WV was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 0:16:50 (currently the Race record). Not fare behind was Craig Pritt of Terra Alta, WV with a time of 17:30. Ari Kasprowicz captured the overall women's 5k title with a time of 20:25. On a side note Sergeant First Class Randy Phillips ran a time of 25:03 in ACU's (Army Combat Uniform) and combat boots.

Items were collected for deployed soldiers from the local area. These Soldiers received care packages complete with race day t-shirts, and DVD of the race, and other goodies from family members. The 646th Family Readiness Group greatly appreciates all the support it received to make this race possible and all the regional support it continually receives.
