Course: Run from Marlinton Municipal Park, east on Rt. 39 then north on the trail back to the park. Then canoe from the park to Buckeye, bike from Buckeye to the Municipal Park. --- Marlinton is located at the intersection of Rt. 219 and Rt. 39.
More Details:
- All racers must wear life jackets while in the water and helmets while riding on the bikes. No exceptions!
- Baton must be transported the entire race course. You must finish the race with your baton to be considered for placing and prizes.
- Register in one category. No switching.
- All canoes and bicycles are welcome, but Kevlar canoes and tandem bicycles MUST register in the advantage category. **
- Maximum of 2 persons per canoe.
- Logistics: the team or individual is responsible for transportation of all equipment. Please arrive early.
- The Greenbrier River Trail is a non-motorized trail. Give yourself extra time to set up. No vehicles on the trail.
- You must attend the race meeting! This is a time for announcements regarding changes and additional information.
- No ticket, no food. Additional meal tickets are available.
- We strongly recommend pre-registration. It's cheaper, and easier for you and us. Pre-registration guarantees you a place in the race, your lunch, and commemorative T-shirt.
- Limited parking is available at Buckeye, check at the registration table on race day for shuttle service.
