The Trace Fork Canyon is a hilly swath of land sandwiched between residential South Charleston and the industrial sweep that lines U.S. 119. It's odd to sit in the woods, listen to the birds chirp and the creek roll by, and know that Wal-Mart is about two miles south. --- iPlay reporter, George Gannon
Race Perks: NO water crossings, Lots of Prizes, Excellent prize table, Door prizes during the BBQ
ABOUT THE COURSE
Trace Fork Canyon is an island of wilderness in an urban setting. The trail quickly descends the wooded slope away from the sight or sounds of the city. This race course may not be the most challenging course you have raced, but we think it has a great mix of uphill, downhill and single-track, not to mention the seven water crossings to make for a great race for all competitors. The start and finish of the race will be at Little Creek Park.
