The Details:
The Martha Jefferson Hospital's 8K and 4K Walk winds through the historic neighborhoods of Locust, Park, Main (downtown), and Belmont Streets.

This exciting and challenging course, starts at and finishes at Martha Jefferson Hospital's Education Center (just one block east of the Hospital).

Early registration (before March 1st) assures a properly sized T-shirt.

Packet Pick-up will be at the Education Center, Friday night from 5:45 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. Please come by Friday night to avoid the Saturday morning rush.

Dry clothes bag drop off/pick up will be available at the Martha Jefferson Hospital Education Center. There are no showers, however there is a woman's only and men's only changing room available.

Martha Jefferson Hospital has plenty of parking at the Cardwell Center, enter on Sycamore Street side.

Proceeds to benefit complementary therapy for cancer and cardiac patients, including support groups, massage, yoga and exercise classes.

All runners and walkers will receive a finishers medal. Running prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers donated by SunTrust Bank. The top male and female walkers will receive a dinner certificate for two at the Metropolitain Resturant. Trophies will be awarded to the top age group winners of the MJ8K run furnished by Harvey's Awards and Rubber Stamps. Many door prizes.

Directions:
From US Interstate 64 East and West: Take the Shadwell Exit Number 124, turn west on Route 250. Exit on Locust Avenue, and turn left at the top of the exit ramp. The Hospital is located about half a mile down Locust Avenue, on the right.

From Route 29 South: Travel north on Route 29, w hich becomes Route 250/29 Bypass. Exit on Locust Avenue, and turn right at the top of the ramp. The Hospital is located about half a mile down Locust Avenue, on the right.

From Route 29 North: Travel south on Route 29s and exit onto the 250 East Bypass. Exit on Locust Avenue, and turn right at the top of the ramp. The Hospital is located about half a mile down Locust Avenue, on the right.

From Route 250 East or West: Exit on Locust Avenue and turn right if eastbound on 250, left if westbound on 250. The Hospital is located about half a mile down Locust Avenue, on the right.
