The Mount Summit Challenge begins in Hopwood on Rt. 40 East and climbs 3.5 miles to the finish line at the top of the Summit. Reaching the Summit is an accomplishment that most can only dream of. It is a race not only about speed, but strength and endurance as well!

Registration and Entry Fee: Early registration is $17.00 until April 15, 2006 (postmarked by the 15th) and it's $22.00 thereafter, including race day. Race Day Registration be between 8:00 am and 9:30 am at the Hopwood Volunteer Fire Department on Route 40 in the Village of Hopwood. Make checks payable to Fayette Striders Running Club. There will be a charge of $25.00 for all returned checks for the Summit Challenge. The Club prefers cash or cashies check on race day.

Race Shirts: If you need an XXL shirt, please add $2.00 to the registration fee. Shirts NOT guaranteed after April 1, 2006.

Time and Location: Race is Sunday April 23, 2006 and starts at 10:00 AM If the race is cancelled due to weather, the race will be on the following Sunday, (same time, same place.)

Event Photos: iPlayOutside, Inc. will be there taking all of the amazing photos! Buy prints, T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Mouse Pads, Beverage Insulators, or Round Coasters.

Results: SERJ Racing Services will provide computerized results following the race.

Awards: Award ceremony will be at the fire department, with light refreshments for all participants. Awards and shirts will not be mailed to any participant. Transportation down the mountain is NOT provided.

Runner Awards: Top 3 Male/ Female overall and top 3 in age group (unless indicated otherwise)
Female: 14-U; 15-19; 20-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-over
Male: 14-U; 15-19; 20-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44 , 45-49 ; 50-54; 55-59; 60-over

Heavyweight Runner Awards: (Male Runners ONLY) Top 3 in each division (Cruiser 175-199; Clydesdale 200/over). Heavyweights are not eligible for age group award and must weigh in prior to race to be in this division. Officers and timing service are not responsible for those male runners that forget to weigh in the morning of the race.

Walker Awards: Top 3 Male/Female overall and top 3 in age group (unless indicated otherwise)
Female Walkers: 14-U; 15-19; 20-29; 30~34; 35-39; 40-44 ; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-over
Male Walkers: 14-U; 15-29; 20-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54 ; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-over
