About the Location: The BLACK BEAR trails are loaded with steep and technical single track trails. The types of trails on which mountain bikers dream of riding and quiver at the thought of wrecking. In other words, this is a hardcore mountain bike race (some have even called it the scariest mountain bike race in the world). This event offers several course lengths for your riding pleasure. Not everyone is expected to ride the toughest parts of the trail, so don't fret!

Directions: From I-64 in Charleston, take Exit 58A, drive south on US 119. Turn left onto Oakwood Rd. at the second stop light, (following the brown and white routing signs)go 3/4 mile and take a left before George Washington High School continuing on Oakwood Road, turn right onto Bridge Rd., and right onto Connell Rd. At the bottom of Connell, make a sharp left onto Kanawha Forest Drive, follow to the forest entrance.

Registration: 7:30-10:30am Race Day. RACE STARTS AT 11:00am
