For the XC bike race, about 90% of the trails are true single track. They are very fun and very rideable. No hike-a-bikes! The course is marked with green arrows, so come on out and pre-ride.
Distances
Beginner class course will be 8 miles, the sport class will be 16 miles, and the expert will be 21 miles.
Register/Prizes/Fun
First 100 registered racers will receive a T-Shirt and the Prize table is HUGE thanks to lots of race sponsors. There will be food and drinks for the racers and a concession stand will be available for spectators. They're currently are planning on having a band play during the race. Most likely Bluegrass.

Directions to Putnam County Park, Eleanor, WV
From Charleston, WV Take Exit 40 (Rt 35 towards Point Pleasant) Take the Winfield exit (Rt 34) - first main exit on Rt 35. Turn right at bottom of the exit. Turn right on Rt 817 (stop light). Follow sign to Eleanor (right turn to cross bridge). At end of bridge turn left towards Eleanor. Once in town of Eleanor follow signs to Putnam County Park. From Huntington, WV Take Exit 39. At stop light, turn left towards Winfield. Continue on Rt 34 to stop light (Wendy's on right). Turn right on Rt 817. Follow sign to Eleanor (right turn to cross bridge). At end of bridge turn left towards Eleanor. Once in town of Eleanor follow signs to Putnam County Park. From Gallapolis, OH/Point Pleasant, WV Travel south on Rt 35. Turn left at Buffalo, WV bridge (Rt 62). At end of bridge, turn right onto Rt 62. Once in town of Eleanor follow signs to Putnam County Park.
