- Friday, AUG 3rd, 7:00 pm . . . Race starts at Wheeling's Heritage Port. Shirts guaranteed to the first 250 registered participants. Pizza provided by Dominos Pizza. Refreshments provided and Wild Horse will provide entertainment. Championchip timing by Runners High. Entry fee is $13.00 prior to the day of the race and $15.00 race day. Post-race shower facilities available at CentreTown Fitness. This Year's Green Mile is in memory of: Rob Kemp, Chris Carlier, Scott Melko and Matthugh Johnston.
Green Mile Grand Door Prize is a Getaway trip to Niagara Falls at the Sheraton on the falls (2 Nights).
- Saturday, AUG 4th, 6:30 pm . . . The course is USATF Certified. CASH prizes for top finishers. Free parking available at 12th & Main St. at the Robinson Professional Center lot courtesy of Jacob Robinson and Bob Fitzsimmons families. Post-race shower facilities available at CentreTown Fitness. This race is part of the Washington County RRC Grand Prix. Three water stations throughout the course. retired. Please, no bikes, skates or pets, etc. permitted on race course. No turkeys, please!
- Team Challenge . . . The Health Plan Fitness 5K Team Challenge is wide open with teams consisting of any groups of people who want to compete on the same team. Males, females, children, walkers and runners of all ages can form a team and compete in this year's event. The bigger the team the better!
- Join the 5K Cancer White-Out! . . . This year the race crew is asking all 5K runners and walkers to wear a white shirt during the race in memory or honor of someone who is fighting a battle with cancer or for a loved one who has lost their life due to cancer!
- Saturday, AUG 4th, 5:30 pm . . . 100 yard dash for children 9 years old and under. Registration is from 3:00 - 5:15 pm Saturday. (There will be Friday registration as well). There is a $3.00 entry fee. Shirts, race towels and pizza are guaranteed to the first 150 registered. Ice cream by Brynn E. Bears, balloons and goody bags for the kids.
