- One of the most beautiful and historic places in WV.
- The Carrollton Covered Bridge, in Barbour County, West Virginia, is the second longest and third oldest surviving covered bridge in the state. The wooden bridge spans the Buckhannon River near Carrolton and was built in 1856. It underwent repairs in 1978 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 4, 1981.

Race begins and ends near the Carrolton Covered Bridge, at the intersection of Maxon Camp and Buckhannon River Roads, in Volga WV 26238. (Located 7.5 miles southwest of Philippi WV, off Route 119, in Barbour County)
