Note from event organizer: "We marked the trail yesterday and
this is going to be a very different race from the last 2 years. Road
bikes will get trashed. The bike trail is single track and follows a
deer path (except for the part where you drop of the side of the
Island on to a beach where you have to carry your bike about 100 yards
before you climb up the hill again). The running race (except for the
novice) is more cross-country style. They also need to be on the
ferry by 8:15 again." -Kim

Where: Blennerhassett Island in Parkersburg,WV
Who: This race is open to anyone and any team. We strongly encourage the physically and mentally challenged to participate.
Course: There is a novice course and an advanced course. The novice course consists of a 1 mile run or walk, a 3 mile bike ride, and a 2 mile kayak or canoe trip. The advanced course consists of a 3 mile run, a 5 mile bike ride, and a 2 mile kayak or canoe trip.
Entry Fee:
- If you pre-register (entries must be postmarked by July 5, 1999) the cost is $15 per person.
- If you register the day of the race, the cost is $20 per person.
- Everyone will receive a tank top and a water bottle with paid registration.
- All entries are non-refundable.
- Race coordinators reserve the right to cancel the race due to bad weather.
- All proceeds go to Adventure Pursuit.
