Off and racing in Point Marion

It was a beautiful day at the Albert Gallatin Regatta for some Memorial Day weekend racing. The out-and-back course is relatively flat with two scenic trips across the bridge over the Monoghahela River making for nice times (pun intended).

A full day regatta festival was going, with the race winding it down before the evening fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, the MAGP Series has quite a few of their own going on. Ryan Skotnicki of Morgantown, WV, is currently in 9th place in MAGP's Men's category, but his points are the same across the board for every race he's run, 110, 110, and you guessed it, 110. After race 5 and Skotnicki's 1st place finish (16:21), he'll move up in the rankings again.

Walkers head over the bridge

Brandon Miles of Grafton, WV, currently 11th in the Series, finished 2nd overall with a time of 16:29. Leslie McIntire finished 3rd with a 16:56.

First place female Holly Whoolery of Point Marion, PA (18:53). Second place female Julia Lipniskas of Smithfield, PA, took second in 20:37. Lyndsay Wyatt (22:46) of Morgantown, WV rounded out the top women spots in 3rd.
