This year's Green Bank 5K was held on one of the coldest days of late fall. The setting for the event, The National Radio Astronomy Observatory, operates the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT), the world's largest fully steerable single aperture antenna. In addition to the GBT, several other telescopes exist at the Green Bank, West Virginia site. The new science center complete with exhibits, a cafe, and gift shop is a great stopping point.
