The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department and The Tallman Track Club Present the 2007-2008 Winter Series.

Three-series race schedule with walks and runs beginning and ending at the Kanawha City Community Center at Venable Avenue Southeast and 36th Street behind Wendys. Race day registration opens 12:30 p.m. at Kanawha City Community Center.

Series Details:

• Cost Per Race: $10 per event or $25 for all three in advance.
• Start: Walk at 1 PM, Run at 2 PM

Series Dates and Distances

• Dec. 16, 2007
  5,000 meter run; 3,000 meter walk
• Jan. 13, 2008
  8,000 meter run; 4,000 meter walk
• Feb. 3, 2008
  10,000 meter run; 5,000 meter walk

Run Awards: Male and female overall and male and female age group awards for fastest cumulative time in all three runs. Run Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39,40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

Walk Awards: Top three overall for fastest cumulative time for all three walks. Hooded sweat shirts given to runners who FINISH all three runs or walks.
