West Virginia Rainbow Run (iPO Event Id#: 10860)

West Virginia's Rainbow Run (a 5K Race, 5K Walk, or 1 Mile Walk) combines the spirit of a morning dedicated to fitness with a way to raise money for the Covenant House AIDS Residential and Resource Program.

This event kicks off the West Virginia Rainbow Pride Festival in Charleston. Enjoy great t-shirts, kids events, food and freebies, plus great giveaways!

Individual Sponsorships: Participants will take a total of about 2000 steps. Suggest that your sponsors donate on a "per step" basis (example: 1 cent per step = $20 donation). Donations are to be collected in advance and turned in at the Rainbow Run. Checks are to be made payable to Rainbow Run.

• On-site race day registration begins at 7:30 AM.
• Please be parked no later than 8:30 AM! Start Time is 9:00 AM
• Race day Check-In/Start Line at Covenant House (600 Shrewsbury Street)

• $10 fee for children under 18
• $20.00 for adults if received by May 28
• $25.00 for adults on race day

Course: Travels through historic east end of Charleston past the Memorial AIDs garden and many beautiful homes, on paved roads

Location: Covenant House, 600 Shrewsbury Street, Charleston, WV (located across Smith Street from the Capitol Market)

About the Race Beneficiary: Covenant House's AIDS Residential & Resource Program serves 22 southern West Virginia counties. Services available to qualified HIV positive individuals include financial assistance with rent, utilities, and supportive counseling/services; help with filling out forms required by government and insurance, as well as living wills and medical power of attorney; and educational information. Services also are available to families and life partners.
