About: Southeastern Ohio is dangerously close to West Virginia, so we've decided to play with fire: Now the Race to the Hills lets you earn points for the Ohio Mountain Bike Championship Series or the West Virginia Mountain Bike Association Points Series!

Sponsored by: Athens Bicycle, Athens Bicycle Club (ABC), Ohio Mountain Bike Championship (OMBC), Ohio State Parks and Pepsi, this year�s race features a loop lovingly hand built by ABC members. There also will be a kids race and fun ride.

Fun Ride: As part of OMBC�s �Get Fit Naturally at Ohio State Parks� program, ABC will host a guided, noncompetitive fun ride, featuring sections of the race course. Make a weekend out of it and camp at beautiful Lake Hope State Park.

Want to volunteer? If you'd like to be part of the action, but don't want to race, event organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with registration, timing, handing water to racers on the course, and other duties. If you would like to volunteer, please e-mail Meredith Erlewine at NoLimit@mohican.net.

Classes and Points: This is a dual points race � racers will earn points in the Ohio Mountain Bike Championship (OMBC) series and in the West Virginia Mountain Bike Association (WVMBA) series. On race day awards will be given based on OMBC class structure. OMBC and WVMBA points will be awarded to each racer based on each respective series' class structure.
