FEES:

Individuals - $50 before July 1st // $60 after July 1st

3 Person Relay Teams - $60 before July 1st // $90 after July 1st

All non-USAT members will be required to purchase a $10 one-day membership.

USAT Sanction: The J Cecil Jarvis Memorial Triathlon is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.

Race T-shirts:

Participants and volunteers will be given a performance technical T-shirt. Size S, M, L, XL, and XXL will be available.

Packet Pick-up:

Friday (July 24th) // Packet pick-up at the Maple Lake clubhouse from 12:00 pm + 5:00 pm

Saturday (Race Day) // Packet pick-up at the Maple Lake clubhouse from 6:30 am + 8:30 am

Awards:

An awards ceremony will be held after all participants have finished the race. The top three overall male and female will receive awards and bonus certificates of $50, $20 and $10, courtesy of Dick's Sporting Goods. In addition, awards will be given to the top three male and female in age groups (< 20, 20 + 29, 30 + 39, 40 + 49, 50 + 59, and > 60), and the team members of the winning relay team in each category (mixed, male, and female). All participants will receive a medal. The top five overall male and female finishers from Harrison County will receive a coupon for a free ultra car wash, courtesy of Diamond Street Car Wash. Please note that by USA Triathlon rules, your age group category will be based on your age as of December 31, 2009.

Post-race Party:

Texas Roadhouse will we be at the race and provide grilled food for the post-race party. Watermelon, cake and drinks will also be provided.

Post-race Swim:

Bridgeport Parks and Recreation invites all participants to enjoy a swim and use the shower facilities at the Bridgeport City Swimming Pool after the event. A free entry pass will be provided in the race packet.

Restaurant Discount Offer:

Oliverio's Ristorante will offer a complimentary appetizer with the purchase of a dinner, good only on 7/24or 7/25. The required coupon will be provided in the race packet. ...................................................................................

Triathlon Clinic:

Vinnie Monseau will conduct a triathlon clinic/Q & A session at 3:30 pm outside the Maple Lake clubhouse on Friday, July 24th in conjunction with packet pick-up. Vinnie is a five-time Hawaii Ironman Triathlon World Championship age-group qualifier, two-time 70.3 Triathlon World Championship top-ten age-group finisher, 2nd place overall finisher of the 2008 Nation's Triathlon, and 1st place overall winner of the 2008 Best of the U.S. Triathlon. Vinnie will discuss equipment, offer race tips and answer all questions. The session will be fun and informative for participants of all abilities.

Pre-Race Training Sessions:

To help participants become familiar with the venue and course, pre-race training sessions will be held at the Maple Lake clubhouse on the Monday's in July (6th, 13th, and 20th) at 6:00 pm. During this time, race participants are allowed to swim in Maple Lake, ride and run the course if desired.
