Part of the Morgantown Adventure Sports Series (MASS)
This series is a brand new collection of outdoor adventure competitions hosted by the West Virginia University College of Physical Activity & Sports Science that will test your physical abilities and mental toughness.
Competitors in this series will compete in up to six events over the course of the year. At each event participants will be eligible for event awards and will also earn performance based points towards series awards at the end of the year. Come show your stuff!

All pre-registrants are guaranteed a custom event t-shirt!
Late registrants will receive t-shirts as long as supplies allow.
This event is open to participants age 14 and older. All participants will be required to sign the appropriate race waiver at race check-in. Participants under the age of 18 will also be required to have their parent or legal guardian sign that they are granting permission for the minor to enter the event.
Please note that there is NO Rain Date, race rain or shine. Entry fees are non-refundable for any reason.

The History of the Deckers Creek Adventure Race & Festival
This event originated as CarpFest, hosted by Friends of Deckers Creek (FODC) named appropriately after the only fish living in Deckers Creek in the late 90's. CarpFest was a grassroots gathering with live music, hands-on environmental education activities, food and good company to celebrate Deckers Creek and FODC. With all of the different fish species now calling Deckers Creek and its tributaries home, we thought this event could use a name change.
So, the Deckers Creek Adventure Day (DCAD) held every fall at Hazel Ruby McQuain Waterfront Park in Morgantown has expanded on the traditional community festival and now includes an adventure race. Teams of three get decked out in costumes and uniforms to compete in this family-friendly, 3 hour, high adventure event with biking, hiking, canoeing and team mystery challenges. Live music, educational workshops and fun kids activities can also be enjoyed.
DCAD is sponsored annually by numerous local businesses to FODC. Your business can be a sponsor too and have your logo on the back of FODC's annual t-shirt. Fill out a membership form or contact FODC for more information.
