Watter Smith Memorial Park hosted the West Milford Time Trial on Saturday, June 21st. Twenty riders came to race the clock for a distance of 20 miles. The temperatures got into the eighties well before noon with sunny skies the whole day. The good weather did not keep away all the mechanicals, however. Out of twenty riders, four had mechanical difficulties. Nathan Fergurson hit a piece of glass and flatted 15 miles into the race. Allen Fell broke his chain 3 miles from the finish (Allen jogged his bike the rest of the way!). Still another rider DNFed due to a broken spoke. Even Jonathon Henzel (sp?), the top finisher, had problems with a stiff link in his chain. This was the third year in a row Jonathon has won the West Milford Time Trial.
