Duane Dombek leads the way in the Kanawha SF
A slightly cool and humid morning proved to be perfect for the Cystic Fibrosis 5/10K run/walk at Kanawha State Forest in Charleston, West Virginia on May 19, 2000. Approximately 75 enthusiastic runners and walkers turned out for this beneficial cause.

The course for the running race began at the pool area of the forest, quickly leading to a series of climbs that racers encountered on the road. The course wound through various inclines, eventually leading to a nice downhill before the finish. Many described this course as challenging yet very rewarding. The beautiful scenery of Kanawha State Forest made the course one to remember. The course for the walkers was level and scenic.
