Thanks for supporting the Troops
There couldn't have been better weather at the Preston County Country Club for the 1st Annual Support the Troops 5k run 2 mile walk hosted by the 646th Quartermaster Company. Kyle Tennant was the first cross the finish line with a time of 18:07 capturing the overall men's 5k title. Kaylyn Christopher wasn't far behind with an impressive time of 18:41, winning the overall women's 5k title. Katie Gaither, and Carman Tankersleg captured the women's and men's overall title for the 2 mile walk division. On a side note Sergeant First Class Randy Phillips ran a time of 25:37 in DCU's (Desert Combat Uniform) and combat boots.

Items were collected for deployed soldiers from the local area. These Soldiers received care packages complete with race day t-shirts, and DVD of the race, and other goodies from family members. The 646th Family Readiness Group greatly appreciates all the support it received to make this race possible and all the regional support it continually receives.
