While you're in town for the run/walk, enjoy a full weekend of activities celebrating the annual Maple Syrup Festival! The 2009 festival takes place March 21-22.
It could be 70 degrees or 30 degress, the weather in Pickens is unpredictable in March. The race starts at the "Old train Depot" and down the railroad grade, then back up the stone road to town.
