Sunday, August 2, 2009 -- Zaleski, OH / Lake Hope State Park
Race to the Hills - WVMBA #10/OMBC #7
The crew is expecting a big crowd because racers are attracted by the increased purse size and competition that come with the combination series race. The course has become quite popular over the years for its excellent conditions and extremely fast racing speeds (expert men will finish approximately 30 singletrack miles in right around two hours).
There are racing classes available for all ages and ability levels. Beginners are welcome!
The course: There's a reason why Lake Hope continues to draw some of the biggest crowds in the OMBC series. The riding is epic! You're going to love the long, flowing singletrack, great climbs and fun downhills. Add a little tough competition to the mix from south of the border in West Virginia and you're going to smile after a tough day at the office when you sit down for the post race cookout.
Camping on site: Lake Hope state park offers cabin rental and camping in the park. Call 1-866-644-6727 or visit www.lakehopestatepark.com/camping.html, cabins are available at reasonable prices.
