The Jane Lew Lions Club has sponsored the event since 1986 and proceeds from the race are used by the club to assist residents of North Central West Virginia with sight related issues and for community projects in and around Jane Lew and North Central, WV.

One Mile Run point to point, begins at the top of Park Avenue (hill) and finishes in Jane Lew on 2nd Street.
5K Race begins with a gentle downhill followed by a relatively flat trek through Jane Lew, to Industrial Park Road, and then back to end at the Lion's Club Park.
Traffic Control and assistance will be provided by WV State Police, the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, the Lewis County EMS, Boy Scouts, Jane Lew Fire Department and members of the Lions Club plus community volunteers.

- 1M Male and Female: 7 & under,8-11,12-14,15-19,20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+
- 5K Males: 19 & under,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-49,50-54,55-59,60-69,70+
- 5K Females: 19 & under,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60+

Trophies are awarded for the top 3 finishers in each category, door prizes, and refreshments will be provided by local business and volunteers. Reception and awards ceremony after races at the Jane Lew Little League Building.

To get there take Exit 105 off Interstate 79, Jane Lew. Go west on Route 7 to Jane Lew, look for Little League Building and Fire Department. Allow 15 minutes to walk to the starting line which is close by.
