Run for Your Life 5-mile Run, 2.5-mile Walk
This 5 Mile Run, 2.5 Mile Walk is held in conjunction with the Smoke on the Water Chili Cook-off, this race is an official FestivALL event on Saturday, June 20, 2015. In 2014, over 270 runners between the ages of 8 to 78 participated in the run and raised over $26,000 that was used within our community to provide for education and screening measures for colorectal cancer. This year, with your support, the CAMC Foundation hopes to significantly increase the amount of people screened.
2015 Registration

- Registration is $20 if postmarked before 6/15/2015 and $25 after.
- Late registration and pre-race swag bag pick up is on June 19th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the CAMC Cancer Center parking lot in Kanawha City and on race day at Haddad Riverfront Park from 7:00am.
- The race will be chip timed.
Course:
This five-mile race begins at Haddad Riverfront Park and takes runners through Charleston, up around the historic Spring Hill cemetery and back to Haddad Riverfront Park. Proceeds from this race benefit the CAMC Foundation to support colorectal cancer awareness and screening.
Age Groups:
Male/ Female 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 and older
Awards:
Awards will be given to winners of each male/female age division. Top 3 places in each division will receive gift cards to Robert's Running and Walking Shop. All runners will receive a high quality tech t-shirt, nylon drawstring bags and water bottle from Michelob Ultra, and lots of food and cold refreshments at the finish line. Every runner that crosses the finish line (from the right direction) will be entered into a raffle to win a new pair of running shoes and gift cards.
Charity Information:
The CAMC Foundation is the fund-raising organization for Charleston Area Medical Center, a regional medical center that is recognized for its excellence in medical services. The foundation works with donors to secure current and future support for CAMC programs and services to improve the health of the people in West Virginia.
