The "Grinder" is a truly spectacular trail course through the rugged terrain of Babcock State Park. This event will challenge you with single track trails, roots, rocks, mud, and occasional short road sections.

Most of the climbs are short and steep, followed by long and gradual downhill sections. The last few miles will take you along the old Sewell road beside beautiful Glade Creek, and up to and past the famous Gristmill and then around Boley Lake.

It will reward you with spectacular overlooks, lush green moss and ferns, rhododendron tunnels, waterfalls and more.
