• Saturday, September 13, 2008, 8:00 am start
• 50 mile Approximate distance
• WVMBA ultra series event # 7
• Cost: $60 WVMBA members, $65 non-members
• Tee shirts to all racers with food and beverages afterwards
• Weekend camping at Beaver Creek is free for all racers and $15 for non-racing guest
• Classes: open men and women, master men 45+, single speed

The Big Bear Ultra is the 7th race in the WVMBA ultra series. It is a mountain bike race that tests the participants, endurance & ability. Only well conditioned cyclists should attempt this event.

Registration will be open Friday evening between 6 and 9pm and Saturday morning at 6am. Course: Course Change!! The course now consists of a 38 mile single track loop and 12 miles of nasty road for 50 miles total. The course will be well marked and maps will be provided. Please be aware, due to the length and nature of the course we can not guarantee all markings will be in place. It is up to the racer to watch for the signs and follow the map.

At least 4 aid stations will be in place with water and snacks. The last aid station will have a cut off time of 10 hours.
