Who was Auggie? Auggie was a beautiful black cat who was Tom Rownd's (race director) faithful companion for seven years. Auggie's early departure from this world inspired Tom to establish this race in 1999 as a fundraiser for the Ohio County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and to remember him by.
